Liverpool Cove Survey 2024
In the summer of 2024, I led a project that involved surveying several shipwrecks at the Mallows Bay-Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary. Central to the survey was Bessie Lafayette, a bugeye vessel, which provided data for my dissertation project focusing on the construction of historic oyster boats of the Chesapeake Bay.
Virtual Reality Museum
As part of my graduate work at Texas A&M University, I created a virtual reality museum designed to showcase photogrammetric models of shipwrecks. This project allows visitors to explore these vessels in stunning detail, bringing maritime history to life in an immersive and interactive way. My goal was to make these models more accessible and engaging for the public, combining new technology with historical research to share appreciation for underwater heritage.
